Colin’s background
Before starting his willwriting career, Colin and his wife Jean owned and managed a care home for over six years, specialising in dementia care for the elderly. This gave Colin a unique insight and experience to the problems faced by elderly people moving into residential care.
All too often, their homes had to be sold and their assets used to pay for care, leaving virtually nothing for their beneficiaries. Colin realised that, through proper estate planning, this could be avoided. His experiences at the care home played a key part in his decision to train as a willwriter and legal consultant.
Colin’s time as a care home manager means he can bring a wealth of relevant experience to his current profession. In particular, he fully understands the need for trust and empathy when helping elderly clients plan for the future.

Colin will visit you in your own home to explain his services and the options open to you. The appointment is free and there’s no obligation to proceed. When appointed, Colin will fix a price and guide you through the legal processes at your own pace. He will personally oversee the creation of your will and any other documents. You won’t be asked to pay a penny until Colin is satisfied that you’re happy with the documents.
